I had a bit of fun playing with the orbital mechanics of it. First soaring around the planet core, then around the planet itself. At one point I flew far enough into space that I passed the star objects and everything got dark. That was a

I use LLMs to review what I write for professionalism, conciseness, consistency of tone, consistency of important details, and factual accuracy. I find that to be the most helpful. I'm really just using the LLM as a sounding board. So

I tried that, but had two problems: When migrating a VM from one host to another it would require cloning the LVM volume, rather than just importing the group on the other node and starting the VM up. I have existing VMware gusts that I

As far as I understand it, Ceph allows you to create distributed storage by using the hardware across your hosts. Can it be used to format a single shared block device that is accessed by multiple hosts like VMFS does? My understanding is t

I like Promox a lot, but I wish it had an equivalent to VMware's VMFS. The last time I tried, there wasn't a way to use shared storage (i.e., iscsi block devices) across multiple nodes and have a failover of VMs that use that stor

I love projects like this, doing things because you can. Especially low power, off-grid projects. However I did not love the writing style of this article. Lots of repetition. Asking questions to stress a funny point. Lots of repetition. I

This goes well beyond just an affordability issue. They’re price gouging, forcing customers into one-off subscription services that are deliberately hard to cancel and make it difficult to get a refund, even when one is clearly warranted. T

For the usage being discussed here, 1 million is extremely low. For its original intended usage, which might cause one to dozens of refreshes per day, it's more than it'll ever need.

This is not a suitable modern equivalent to the TRS-80 Model 100. It is much smaller and so uncomfortable to use. The arrow keys and trackball are well below subpar, and the software support isn't great.
