Managing a public authentication service requires ongoing maintenance and monitoring costs. While they could pay a third party to manage it for them, this is a reasonable decision for them to keep costs low. It doesn’t sound like Jitsi is s

Say 50-60 years pass. Wordpress gets acquired by a dodgy company who decides they're OK terminating this deal because they consider the risk of litigation low. It would be difficult to know if Wordpress (or future acquiring company) is

Plus consider how many people are going to really care about this deal being upheld in 100 years. Say a buyer of this service dies in 50 years. Would their children and potential grandchildren want to take Wordpress to court over the $15,00

I disagree. 1. Those who express disparaging remarks towards others do not need to utilize a specific term. 2. A common narrative is that urban environments/cities are mismanaged, possess dangerous amounts of crime, and filled of corru

I at least partially disagree. A large number of smaller/basement airbnb units near me are within a very short walk of hotels or hotels offering suites. Generally speaking, the hotels are located closer to favorable amenities.

Unless your business is in the line of user authentication, what business advantage would one get by developing their own LDAP server? It would be an incredibly inefficient use of resources if you're a 100 person shop only wanting unif

Eh, depends on "easier". For day-to-day tasks as a technical user I use a Mac but wouldn't find it to be an issue to use linux for most of my work. However, my strictly-gaming PC runs Windows. It's by-far the easiest, le

Unfortunately there are a select few (though popular) games like Valorant that won't run because they require anti-cheat software with Windows kernel-mode drivers. That said, it does support _a lot_.

Can you elaborate on what is competent spending? The theory of privatization solving problems is predicated on the assumption that competition will exist. Competition in the private sector cannot be assumed to always exist.

I fail to see the value of expending time to configure extra services for functionality that I could get by downloading a client to another service that might not be ideal, but works enough to not care about.
