AM is awful and outdated. The only benefits it currently has, aren't actually related to the amplitude modulation, but simply a property of the reserved frequency bands it uses.

I've had so many Seagate drives fail that I won't buy Seagate again. If a brand sells bad drives, they should be aware of the reputational damage it causes. Otherwise there is no downside to selling bad drives.

Although they've improved it a bit since 11's launch, the task bar is still a regression from Windows 10.

If given choice to invest in a US company or an EU company, all things being equal, I'd pick US any day of the week. 10% to 20% premium seems kinda low in fact.

This is without a doubt the most advanced LLM out there, easily beating GPT4 and everything else. I asked it some programming questions for a niche programming language, and it's the first LLM that has been able to answer it correctly.

I prefer kiosks because I can take my time and browse all the options, instead of being forced to quickly answer the cashier.

It will always make economical sense to mine, because difficulty automatically adjusts. The issue is when it becomes cheap enough to do a 51% attack.

The amount of effort in this video is astounding. Quote from the author > If you’ve wondered where I’ve been for the past 10 months, it was working day and night on this one video. In other words, I never actually left, I’ve been working

State actors (probably the case here) can handle all that stuff.

It doesn't matter if it's a team working for a state actor. You'd still be pissed your 2 year project failed so close to the finish line.

If you mean train llama from scratch, you aren't going to train it on any single box. But even with a single 3090 you can do quite a lot with LLMs (through QLoRA and similar).

Around 2 years ago I got incorrectly banned site wide for 3 days for "ban evasion". Haven't used it ever since (except through google searches). There's no downside to leaving reddit really.

I don't think this kind of backdoor is that widespread. But intentional vulnerabilities for sure are.

Probably not for fully Chinese hardware. Although this backdoor is only x86 so it still wouldn't work there.

I'm so behind in this area. I had finetuned a model that was SOTA and worth publishing about in October, but procrastinated. I'm scared to check if somebody else already published on this topic.

Do you always assume other people are incompetent? That's not very nice of you. I mostly work on AI, so I know if I'm overfitting or not. It performs provably better in it's domain (a niche programming language). GPT4 can bar

That's a pretty odd stance. I've finetuned llama/mistral models that greatly outperform GPT4 with just a prompt. You have to know when to RAG, finetune, or RAG+finetune.

If Nintendo sold a download to the .ROM files plus updates on their website, I'm sure a decent percentage would buy them.
