Yahoo owning Flickr allows them to dominate the photo sharing market ... just as google owning YouTube.. - owning something that has a moat (its user base) is definitely worth a lot, I put Flickr at 1.6bn

Sitepoint, is a burial ground most things sold on there consist of snake oil or clones. It doesn't even deserve the name of 'exit'. More of a liquidity place to re-coop bad investments..

"threatened to quit and raise her own funding" unless equity was raised to 35%, that is very very hostile. - she only quit once they ran out of money., actions just speak louder than words for me.

because she agreed to 6% and $6,900/mo (a lot more than the founder) ... I think loyalty means something, be loyal to what you agree to; or quit... but don't hold the whole company hostage being selfish. I still stick with the "better off

I think she made a "douche-move" by upping her equity forcefully while still taking $6,900/mo - To be honest no matter the turn out your better without her cause she is lacking integrity.

I like the similarities between this story and "deliberate practice" ... makes a lot of sense to - move slow but move everyday in the right direction... I'm sure this relates to their quality also.

comparing yhoo to goog, is definitely apples to oranges, I would suspect (at least my intuition says) that the higher your stock price, the harder it is to gain percentages. so google being up 5% ($29.5) and yahoo being up 23% ($5.65) doesn
