I agree, bad title. Although getting developers to pay just to code on facebooks platform; is impressive. "pay to code" = "pay $375 to apply to get verified" This reminds me of Yahoo's $299 directory submission, a very old business model.

my comfort comes in the fact that probably 80% of the predictions made about this recession has been off, from " fanny and freddy are fine" to numerous other statements

I would like Google to buy sprint (of course the understood meaning of this statement) ; but I bet MSFT or YHOO wouldn't let that happen without a anti trust case :(

Who the fuck cares. (sorry about the F-bomb) Im just tired of politics in general, and for that matter mixing government politics with mac vs pc politics - FUCK! get over it! I care more about his policy (and how he executes) than if he use

yeah when I heard anyone under 10 years will get a $100k "your fired" fee, and over 10 years gets $140k ... I just shake my head and realize the damage the UAW has done. These are mostly un-skilled labor, who have "thugged" there way into

I don't understand the conversation - I hope it isn't real, how can someone say "no" so immediatley - unless they are that uber smart, that they know the ins and outs of every language.

my boss calls this being brutally honest, his business is ran this way - he always has the toughest questions but it makes you produce better things and be prepared for questions,

guessing the plugin you install would consist of some sort of universal web cam software and screen capture, I wonder how small the plugin can actually be? edit: probably some software for communicating with your web cam

I make it a point to pick up an incoming sales call and make sure I know the product as well as I think I do, of course I'm usually developing ways and methods of selling that product.

The bug was a big one, but until someone exploited it massively it doesn't compare to other bugs in the past.

I for one think freemium isnt dead just - a part in a pendulum swing in the other direction, now-a-days its not ok to produce crap or stolen content.

This (Seo) stuff has been known for a very long time, nothing new has been released so the average person can rank higher than another - there is no 1 click answer, it takes knowledge and time. - Time for SEO is rented like time your employ

yeah as soon as you let all your employees join unions and negotiate, they get to lock you in a negotiated price or shut you down. The better alternative is to probably give an environment where the employees feel they don't need a union.

I wouldn't be happy if my employer wanted to renegotiate my contract, I think this is better advice for your company's contract with other companies.

could there be similar exploits in the iphone we just can't find them cause the source isn't open. Some would think it is a case for closed source applications, but I think in the end Android will be a stronger OS than the Iphone

I don't understand the business, it shouldn't take more than 50 writers to write a paper, pay them 100k , that's 5mm sell 500k subcriptions at 50/yr that's 25mm And that's not counting ads (or printing cost) perhaps they cancel out though

the writing style seems super lax for the nytimes , felt more like reading a blog. The g1 is good the battery is the same issue as the iPhone if you use it to surf for 5 hours it's going to get low, give it a week then it will last all day
