It probably makes sense for some but these are a few months old high end chips. You wouldn’t find a working 3080 core in a recycling pile since it’s worth over a thousand dollars

Well no. Just like a rainforest doesn't just fly in the wind to become a rainforest somewhere else if you burn it. Soil is a ecosystem, not a raw material.

It’s so dated. Like early 2000s edgy Maddox et al. I still swear a lot but this “style” is obnoxious

There have been more local bodybuilding sites and magazines since the 90s where professionals post too. It's more of a cargo cult mentality. Sample size of one genetic freak on steroids and growth hormones got huge on this program so i

It's interesting how fast they find their favorite clips when I give them a phone in Incognito Mode Youtube for 15 minutes. I seed it with a normal kids clip like a Peppa Pig or something but somehow she used to find this weird car sl

You can also do some consulting projects here and there to get a big boost for that year. I'm living in a expensive place and have kids so it's not really doable for at least some years for me

> Another is a JIRA consultant. You basically setup JIRA and teach an org how to use it. What about the alcoholism to cope with what you've wrought on the poor souls?

A manager not doing their job is terrible for the team. It might work for a year but then all the capable devs are going to leave.

Pretending to work at an office for 7-8h is soul killing. If it was remote then it might be a different story as you could just work on something else.

As many of the stories here show, it’s usually easier to grow into a do nothing job. Build rapport for a few years and take on responsibilities that can be automated but don’t tell you automated them. And slip into the legacy projects no on

Dysfunctional companies in my experience have been horrible places to work where they work the devs to death and make them do all kinds of unrelated tasks.
