I think I understand the remote procedure call concept, but could someone explain how I'd want to use this if I were building a web app? Would this replace a lot of my ajax calls or... ?

I tried getting into Rails using a tutorial similar to the one referenced in the posted article, and I feel the same way. For me there was too much too fast. Something that was supposed to be easy was complicated. "Just run these commands"

After poking around on their website, I noticed that this library is being developed by Telerik ( http://www.telerik.com/ ), which is a pretty big vendor for .net libraries. The trouble is I don't think they have a library for MVC3-ish apps

What if this was taken one step further and integrated with an alarm app for your phone? That would be a more useful implementation of this idea to me than a web page would be. You could provide a time range of 60 to 90 minutes of when you

True, but it seems to be a hassle. From what I've read, it doesn't sound like everything is compatible with that method either (might be wrong on that though). I'd still like to tinker with node anywhere via Nide though, and Nide seems inte
