Not all hardware is digital. RF design, radars, etc... are more an art than a science, in many aspects. I would expect a Physics-trained student to be more adaptable to that type of EE work than a CS student...

I have a friend who needs a medication that costs more than 30,000$ a year. Here in Canada it is 100% covered by our government health insurance regime. In the USA he would be bankrupt (or dead). Here in Canada if I have an accident i do no

Give the guy a chance. Me too I was "Speechless, shocked, unbelievable, insane, speechless" the first time I sent Claude Code on a complicated 10-year code base which used outdated cross-toolchains and APIs. It obviously did not

Exactly. Using a slide rule shows how some complex operations in one domain can be made much easier in another. One you understand slide rules and logarithms, it is easier to understand convolutions in the FFT (frequency) domain... Almost l

Canada is (was?) the single biggest commercial partner of the USA and Trump, in one of his tantrums, threatened to destroy that this week, with 100% tariffs. Canada is very much in the same boat as the EU.

Hum... the word "autocrat" might be too polite, and some in the Trump fan club might actually not understand it's meaning completely. I would suggest "fascist", instead.
