Thanks Jim for highlighting this and teaching about a common misconception. My intent was to help the author avoid the “dead website” feel of a 2-3 year old (c) label. Updating the year to current year could be one solution but I was not pr

I think about it a little differently: I don’t work on that product team, but I’ve benefited from using google finance for almost a decade and have the skillset + interest to help contribute back to that product.

Thanks for building this 10 years ago. This was my first repo I looked at as a noogler earlier this year because I wanted to understand the effort req’d to replace flash charts. It looked a bit more complex than I was expecting but I still

I've used wkhtmltopdf for years and it's really great. However, having a browser (headless Chrome and now Firefox) render the page closes the gap between what we build in HTML and what we want to output in a PDF, without having to

I built a simple REST API that wraps this call for my other projects and it's been working great the past few months. If this would be useful to you my contact info is in my profile.

I just started going to this office last month and can vouch for how great of a place it is. Dr Choi is a really amazing dentist. HN becomes smaller each day :)

Awesome! I didn't realize you resulted in those numbers. I was one of your first backers for this project & really enjoyed my read through. Keep up the great work.

As someone who helped mentor this team from the FB-side over the weekend, I'm consistently impressed with the traction they have been able to get. Kudos to you all for a job well done and open sourcing your work.

A common fear I hear from young expecting couples is that kids cannot be raised in the city. We moved to SF 4 years ago from the suburbs and really enjoy the benefits of being here with kids (in 1st & 3rd grade). It is definitely an adj

I ran my first startup with Jason 15 years ago. Since then, he's gone on to do some amazing things and seeing him on HN today makes me realize: 1) how lucky I was to work with him for those 2 years. 2) how small our industry is. Congra

The new use of the word "intelligent" to describe their tools makes me wonder if the previous tools lacked that very ingredient. Or, as you aptly mentioned, these are wasteful words.
