I've been working in the IT industry way too long. Any devices provided by my employer will only have whatever the employer has preloaded in terms of software. I will not browse any private or personal things on that device. I'

They seem to be flipping the houses fast and hard around my neighborhood. One of my favorite things to do is walk around with the dog and see houses go up for sale. Lately, I noticed houses sold only to be relisted by Zillow like 30 days

To be honest, I think the biggest issue with news media are the click-bait and flashy headlines/animations all over. CNN loves Breaking News on everything. One of my favorite news source is PBS NewsHour. Most boring, non-sensational

This is correct. I have no problems of them scanning my icloud mail or photos. I just don't like the idea of there being a system level scanner for a hash database on my device assuming that I'm guilty until proven innocent. I

Nothing wrong with uPnP. If you’re worried about something opening up ports on your network, you’re already compromised.

Ubisoft games come to mind. Without UPnP or specific ports forwarded you’ll have limited NAT support which many games will tell you.

I'm no network genius either but I just logged into the unifi console thing and created a new wifi SSID with it's own IP range and then had to reconfigure all my IoT devices to point to the new wifi SSID. That was all I had to do

As someone who recently got the Dream Machine Pro with NanoHD access point, most of the consumers will not want to deal with such a setup. Also, Ubiquiti has their own issues to sort out as well.

Good, screw them both. Had issues with AT&T in the past not liking my unlocked Samsung Note phone. They would not provision it fully and caused my service to suffer.
