I self-host using docker. It is very reliable including updates. Transition is as easy as exporting your 1P database and importing it into BW. Integration in IOS is very similar as 1P. Overall, 1P's apps are more polished than BW. You

Wallabag is closer to Pocket than LinkAce. Wallabag also offers annotation, search on content and saving pay-walled content (with an account). To me, content search is the killer feature and was the first thing I looked for when looking at

I use Google Apps but with my own domain. My own domain gives me the opportunity to take my business elsewhere with limited impact. The caveat is that I pay $6 / month (instead of free).

It’s ok now. I still have rotation issues on my iPad where it gets confused and the screen is on its side. I had an issue on my iPhone X where it was connected to wifi without showing the icon. But there’s plenty written on iOS 13’s buggine

Same. Whenever Apple announces a new major version, it’s time for me to disable auto-update on all my Apple devices. iOS 13 was particularly bad and I waited until January. I hope they did a better job with 14.

True but the problem is that it mandates presence-based earnings (by the hour) and not output-based. That is the reason it does not work with the model Uber & Lyft built. Obviously, Lyft and Uber could've anticipated this and could

I do not think anyone disputes Ubuntu's goals or intentions. The problem is that the snap store is managed by Ubuntu without any community oversight. By not releasing source code to the store, other distributions cannot create their ow

This is THE reason I stopped using Netflix. Besides being bombarded with sound, I was actually halfway reading the description when it is replaced with a running video. When my CC was stolen (and blocked), Netflix was the only company who p

The original content of Netflix is mediocre at best. It feels the content is analytics driven and commissioned than made out of passion. I canceled Netflix a month or so back. I just use Hulu and Prime Video. I replaced some popular shows w

I moved from NYT to Economist for all of these reasons. NYT went berserk after the 2016 elections if you ask me. Now every article feels like an opinion piece.
