Rather than petitioning congress for a new visa, perhaps it's easier to start a school and have founders come over on an F-1.

I was going to make a similar comment. My grandparents are mid-80s and have been using email for at least 14 years. My grandmother would be insulted if someone suggested she switched to the simplified elderly email service. However, she exp

Part time programming work in Silicon Valley is hard to come by even when the economy is good. I'm not sure why exactly, but people here treat employment as an all or nothing proposition. I found it much easier to do random short-term and p

I didn't intend to start a debate about the merits of Harvard's engineering department. I was just using it as an example of a school with an obvious (perhaps the most obvious) brand name reputation.

It's still Harvard. It ranks #1 in nearly every other subject. A Harvard degree will get you an interview at Google or anywhere I've ever worked. However, I don't think it matters that much for the OP since he (or she) didn't apply there.

Everyone hates a braggart It's a cultural thing. Scandinavians and Australians in particular hate braggarts and even have phrases for this cultural tendency: janteloven and tall-poppy syndrome. Other cultures have responses for the boastf

I'd be interested in a demo if you manage to round up a crew of people. If you're around for a while, or plan on coming back, you might get a better response doing a demo down at Tech Shop. http://www.techshop.ws There are more hardware

I'm in SF, but my sister lives on the Bellarine Peninsula. I've spent about 6 weeks in Australia and love it. If anyone has info about startups hiring in Melbourne or Geelong I'd love to hear about them.

It isn't as though the medical community hasn't known this. I had a serious back injury over 10 years ago while still in high school. Semi-reclining to about 120 degrees is what my physical therapist suggested way back then. Sitting upright
