Aside from companies working on electric cars and solar projects, who else is working on large-scale projects to ameliorate climate change? Any truly massive projects akin to putting a man on the moon?

I've worked at a place that had a 'flat' organization, it was a mess. Hidden power structures, informal and outside of office 'meetings' where decisions were made and arbitrary decisions made at a whim. When looking

IMHO that's a good thing. It's not changing, works very well, has lots of plugins and is a relatively small library so you can fix it yourself. Plus a large user base, so many problems you run into are already known.

I agree no VC backed company will be profitable for much of its early life, my point was you can't compare apples to apples between Gillet and DSC. If DSC is spending insane amounts of money on growth and discounting their goods, at so

I'm not sure why Gillette should be (very) afraid of DSC. Gillette had $7B of sales in 2015, compared to ~$240 million by DSC. The real questions that should be asked are: - Did Gillette's revenues decline because of DSC? If so, b

We're using Bootstrap for our site, Podium: https://podium.live . It was a great way to get started, we had a decent looking app for a while, then once we could hire a designer we were able to modify where needed. It really

I'm using Flot for https://podium.live , 10-20 charts with upwards of 1k points/chart updating at 10hz. It can work, but you need to do a few things like wrapping things in requestAnimationframe and not redrawing axes.

I agree, and I've used Laravel too. Yii is built and designed by someone who has written frameworks before and understands how to do it right. The creator wrote the Prado framework, then wrote Yii from the ground up. Laravel definitely

I'm guessing that if they are generating nanotubes for sale, their is a collection process that keeps the nanotubes in some sort of container. Since this would take place in a location that also has coal or natural gas, I think they wi

Salaries in the San Francisco Bay Area are very high compared to the rest of the world due to high housing costs and extreme demand for engineers. $155k is average for 5-10 years of experience at a non-startup. You can certainly go much hig
