I don't think the GP is saying that H+ and H3O+ are literally synonymous, but rather that "H+" in the context of an aqueous solution is actually shorthand for a hydronium ion and not a solvated proton (with an H2O implied o

There's a lot of variation in how the vertical scrolling format is used. Some just use it as "one panel at a time" but with a worse UX, while others lean hard into the scrolling format with things like sprawling panels longer

Different constraints. Better cooling allows the processor to throttle less and achieve higher average performance, which incidentally would also reduce your battery life if you had the processor running at 100% load the whole time.

I guess the goal is for all text elements to be readable against the background, which requires a certain minimum perceptual contrast regardless of hue. I don't know if there's also some constraint on the maximum contrast as well.

That's exactly what you get with undo-tree. The regular undo/redo commands continue working as normal, but you can also manually browse the tree if things get too nonlinear for you.

This is exactly how undo works in Emacs out of the box. Personally, I prefer to install the undo-tree package and manually browse through the tree of undo paths. I'm not sure why this author finds a tree unacceptable for this purpose.

I think the trash interaction command needs to be a different main command, actually. No matter what you call the option, someone can make a file with that name.

I think all you would need to add is a daemon that automatically deletes the oldest file(s) whenever free space drops below a certain threshold, so that the filesystem GC can reclaim that space for new files.

A bad PSU is not at all comparable to a hard reset. A bad PSU can cause individual writes to fail without the entire computer shutting down, and these failures can and will happen simultaneously across multiple disks since they are all conn
