I took the AP computer science exam without any prep and got a 5. The issue is that classes aren't offered at the Honors level if there's an AP class that could replace it, and for the classes I'm taking (AP Stats, Psych, Physics, Calc, Eng

I'm currently a high school student taking five AP classes, and I can tell you that most of my AP classes just teach what people need to know on the AP test. I'd much rather take an Honors class than an AP class, but at my school Honors cla

What Git really needs is a few tools like Versions and Cornerstone were for SVN: simple apps that didn't require any command line use at all. Git Tower might be there, but I haven't used it so I can't say that 100%.

You actually can change the trackpad scrolling back; it's just under the appearance prefpane rather than the trackpad prefpane.

Apple's response when they decide to take it down will be the interesting part. We'll find out if there is a kill switch or blacklist in the mac app store.

Well, what this means is that they expect the bump they get from being listed in the app store over using web apps to be pretty significant (which I believe it will be too).

Google already has some great native apps (the google app and google voice for iPhone). They seem to only use native apps in cases where some functionality isn't available in the browser, e.g. push notifications or accelerometer control and

Nokia makes a lot of phones. I think it's going to be Android, simply because of the hardware requirements imposed by WP7 would mean that Nokia's large amount of phones worldwide would all have to meet a fairly high bar, which isn't going t

Heroku will probably still have the advantage of being git-based. I doubt Amazon will support git with beanstalk. Now, Amazon may start siphoning off python users that switched to rails just to use Heroku.

The risk that they're taking in consumer apps is the games market -- existing games won't work (although arm isn't that popular for gamers anyway), so it's a kind of chicken-or-egg problem as to getting games developed for that platform. I'

It's not hard to make an app, but it's very hard to make a great app. Most devs obsess about design the same way designers do and most designers can't code very well.
