I used to disable Turbolinks as well, but I took the time recently to use Turbolinks 3 (off master) in a project and have been really impressed with what you can achieve. The server-side partial replacement, for example, is wonderful.

I really like the format and the content Jack. It wasn't overly dense as text heavy journals can sometimes be, and it was refreshingly immersive with the short videos. I've also seen this format work to great effect with NY Times
