It’s appallingly sloppy. I can’t say I’m regretting my switch to essentially holding off on major OS upgrades until just before the next one is released. I wish Xcode’s current version still supported the most recent two OS versions, though

One major benefit to running your own is that a non-zero number of PIA's IPs are blocked on many sites. A random VPS IP is much less likely to be.

Same here. Depending on the temperature, I have to move it to a more internal pocket to keep the battery warm. Lithium batteries do not like cold.

We have the same issue on the other side of the state in Spokane. In the majority of the metropolitan area, Comcast is your only viable option. Where I live, I can get up to around 250 Mbit Comcast or 1-5 Mbit CenturyLink.

I can't answer for the grandparent, but it's not an uncommon situation in the eastern Washington/northern Idaho area. Much of it is rural enough that there's very little reason to be on many roads unless it's a deli

The "Deserts" episode of Planet Earth 2 (currently on Netflix) has a decent segment on the Harris hawk for anyone curious. It shows a group of them hunting ground squirrels.

I bought one for that purpose. What it does best is show you relative temperature levels, which you can then investigate further to see if they're real or not. In my experience, some are actual air leaks, some lack of air circulation,

I use aliases (FastMail's term for custom addresses that go to the same inbox) for that reason. They work very well, and I've never had any problems setting up a new one on the fly.

I believe that is actually because of the billing period. You're billed at the end of the usage period rather than the beginning.

Allegations of sexual misconduct and an actual conviction are two very different things, though modern society tends to treat them as equivalent. I don't know what actually happened, but it's dangerous to ever let go of that legal

If there's time, I'd also take photos of any higher value items you're leaving behind. It removes the risk of being unable to prove you owned something.
