Or I have to use your name on a legal document that the state requires, and they split first/last name. Sometimes when you live within a culture you will need to adjust to the way they do things.

It improves the security of my phone in the real world cases that I'm likely to encounter. Like friends, coworkers, family members, and significant others. It's trivial for them to observe my pin, but lifting a print and creatin

I hate working with people that have this attitude. Blowing away old code that works and rewriting it, because obviously they are the smartest person, and can do it better than anyone else. I've had no end of regressions and just full

Progressive enhancement is a luxury, and not everyone can afford it. It vastly increases your test surfaces, and requires multiple designs for every page/feature. If I'm trying to get a product out and I can reach 99% of my audie

Absolutely agree. It was very difficult to read, and I ended up having to remove the italic and color styles applied to that section, just to be able to read the article.

I must have missed the Data URI hype, because I'm not at all shocked that CSS spriting is faster than using Data URI. We are comparing using a binary image format, and a base64 encoded image inlined into CSS/HTML. What isthe basi

I typically do PHX to CMH, but I've also tried CMH to SAN, PHX to SFO, and PXH to SJC. Maybe it's just the routes I fly, because I hear people talk about cheap flights on Southwest. I personally have not seen them in the past cou

And I personally hate flying Southwest and avoid it if at all possible. Not only have I on multiple occasions bought a cross country first class ticket from Delta for less than Southwest's Wanna Get Away fare, but I almost always find

That is a meaningless statement, all those scummy hair growth or weight loss companies have doctors that they pay for endorsements too.

I like my sheets tucked in, and half the time I don't use my duvet, it's just too hot. And I would still have to make my bed, pulling the top sheet and the duvet up takes like 5 extra seconds. I agree that bedding could use impro

It's a slashdot meme. When the iPod was announced CmdrTaco said that, it stands as a classic example of tech geeks' tendency to focus on the details (specs, price, etc.) while missing the bigger picture. In that case superior design beats

I had a professor like that, he also was a signatory to the original ECMAscript standard. He also claims he came up with that name. Since they were spending too much time debating the name, he figured they'd call it that for now, and since

I plugged in 45440, and it returns Dayton as the actual city, but Dayton is miles away. It returns a bunch of other cities as acceptable, but those are the ones that are actually located in that zip code. I'm curious as to what all of this

The reverse of this is actually the interesting part. Give scrambled HTML to the browser, use a font to convert it to human readable text. Obviously this wouldn't stop anyone willing to put a bit of effort into decoding it, but I bet lyric
