When I was visiting Oakland this happened to us, on a busy street. Someone wrote down the license plate and left it for us. The police didn’t care.

How does that work for people who receive a large portion of their compensation in things like equity in a private company that is extremely hard to value? Would these plans result in the proliferation of odd compensation schemes to get aro

Just tap the top of the screen and your browser scrolls up. Most of the time I come across a sticky nav bar and footer I just turn on reader view and turn off all the site’s terrible styling.

Bingo, when I first moved out here I lived a couple blocks west of this place. It was 70% college kids. They also have a massive park and ride garage there, so I think I know where all those car free people will stash their cars.

I constantly am fighting Hulu, the stream will crash. It looses my place, shows like 6 ads and is a pain to seek to the place I was last at. It’s also super jumpy and will jump out of the video if you look at the remote wrong. Such a mes

I have a 3 (among a few other Sonos products) and it’s literally the easiest thing to use. Maybe it’s because I’m no longer in the business of amassing a horde of mp3s and instead use Spotify and amazon music. Maybe it’s because I haven’t o

The FAA provides an app that tells you if the airspace above you is legal to fly in, and they even help you file flight plans with ATC if it’s required. It’s all the other parts of the government that tack on confusing rules, in an inconsis

It seems like the only solution will be for the FAA to flex it’s regulatory muscle on this, and become the sole authority on where you can fly a drone. Much like the FCC did with small satellite dish prohibitions. https://www.fc

In the case of GDP I saw a post on reddit the girl was flown out under false pretenses. Then pressured into doing the shoot, otherwise she was told she would have to reimburse the producers for the flights and hotel. She was also told thi

Right, I just mentioned that sometimes I got irritated eyes specifically in overly chlorinated public pools or swimming in indoor pools. Since I know that is a common complaint.

by rblatz 7y ago
Yeah I can bring things into focus. I’ll have to jump into the pool this weekend and test it out a bit more. Also I’m very nearsighted. Without contacts in I probably see like the average person does in water.

I didn't realize that this was a special skill. I've always been able to see underwater, as long as the water is fairly clear. Depending on the pool I sometimes got irritated eyes, but it never really bothered me to have water in
