You must be seeing ants over the fact that you can’t put the parent commenter on some “list” that prevents me from seeing a reasoned and reasonably civil comment that you disagree with. 20,000,000 accounts out of 60,000,000 [0] have already

That takes me back, I had the same trajectory , getting a newspaper’s news room and offices online with a single computer sharing its ISDN connection. Think ours was also a 100mhz gateway 2000 computer or some such. That snowballed into “we

I hadn’t even considered that. Don’t know why that comment is greyed out or downvoted. It’s a static site that hasn’t been updated since 2016—- so it’s .. since been moved to cloudflare r2 where it’s getting a $0.00 bill, and it now has a d

To be fair I think some people do come on to HN to plug something legitimate or interesting or valuable but they get looked at through the same lens as a spammer and sometimes judged maybe a little too harshly with out a little more context

So far , anyone telling OFCOM where to shove it (think: 4chan) doesn’t have any kind of operations or presence in the UK , is refusing to pay their fines, denies being under their jurisdiction — and doesn’t seem to care if they get blocked

Current slack app can copy and paste via app and contextual menus in 26.2 However safari does some of the same stuff you’re describing. I’ve found it difficult to edit a single typo in a URL or get to the end of it to add or modify a path l

Hear me out: Altman is signing deals with the pentagon and AWS (government sector) in the last thirty days or so. And blacklisting competitors (Anthropic). I’d say the protection money paid dividends.

Cloudflare dns has gone back and forth on whether it wants to resolve them since 2019. It’s taken that away and restored it again (intentionally? mistake?) at least four times. The c&c/botnet designation would seem to be new though
