I think the real problem is the driver monitoring system. Openpilot nailed it with their eye camera monitoring. There is no need to touch the wheel which makes it more relaxing but you can not take your eyes of the road, which is far more i

I am saying that it would not be possible to put it in the browser if it would not be web based. It is a perfect fit for headless devices. It also runs fine when you put a desktop on the pi but this is certainly not a use case I would prefe

Funny that you mention this. I run it perfectly on my raspi 3 using code-server on home assistent. Now please tell me, what is a better IDE then vscode for a raspi 3? It barely uses any ram on the server side. Wouldn't it have been wri

I am going to ask and duck. What is a seriously good cross platform (yes also web) [meaning windows, Linux, Mac, Android, ios, web] alternative to electron? I used haxe 2/3 (openfl), javafx, qt. No they are not even close. Next thing w

Isn't crypto a natural fit for web3?

If you do not need any google services/apps then yes. Your apps will just run fine.

You are right. Changed the wording to "my social bubble". Still these services I would consider popular in Germany in no particular order.

by razemio 5y ago
Right, changed it to "in my social bubble". Still with iMessage I have never seen anybody using it here.

by razemio 5y ago
Haha, in Germany I do not know a single person using iMessage. In my social bubble it is like WhatsApp > Signal > Telegram > Threema > Facebook Messanger

I do not have an HA setup BUT all of my proxmox vms are snapshot backuped by proxmox backup server every night to my home NAS and to my office NAS. You can use one of many storage providers. SSHFS also works. This is the cheapest and lowest

This! Hetzner root servers, there is nothing else I know on the market that comes close in price/power ratio when you use the "Serverbörse". I run multiple low traffic websites, databases and a heavy traffic elk instance + my

I agree. It is a very promising approach to fine tune Google for your own needs.

Somewhat true. A perfect awnser for such a query would be a page like tomshardware where the best smartphones for multiple categories would have been nominated. A normal Google search actually does return that, after some scrolling. This ho

Thanks for sharing. My initial comment sounded a bit harsh. I am sorry for that. I will look into fine tuning it for my needs. It is an interesting approach to a very annoying problem.

by razemio 5y ago
There is none to my knowledge. That is why I tried it. Google returns at least links from tomshardware, wired and Android Authority after a few scrolls.

Googled "Best smartphone 2021" which resulted in crappy result. Maybe I am missing what significant categories actually means?

Tell me one solution that would make blockchain technology obsolete. I would bet there is none even close because other solutions will require trust to some degree or have rather big security concerns but I am always open to learn new thing

If you are comfortable with the cli you won't need it at all. It over complicates things in my opinion.

Why was it bad in your opinion? Always interested how you can argue against this masterpiece.

Patrick Rothfuss ruined other fantasy novels for me. Seriously, I usually now stop after 2-3 hours in because it is just bad in comparison. I know that there are some that do not like his books. For me those are the best fantasy books I hav

I can‘t stand this attitude of yours. Not everything needs to be efficient, has to have a goal, make money or make sense. Have fun for once and put that capitalism brain aside for just 2 seconds.

How do you want to make something portable without adding all dependencies? Am I missing something?

Amazing! Thank you for sharing. I have to admit that I lack a lot in security related stuff. Reading your post is inspiring. I am thinking about experimenting with proxmox to run a similar setup. Currently I isolate each customer in its ow

I have a new t14 at work. I use a Dell xps 15 at home. Would always go for the Dell. The t14 is incredible ugly (guess all thinkpads are), wastes a lot of space with those mouse clickers, is bulky and also heavy compared to the Dell. Sound

Sure but you miss a point. The blockchain proofs the creation date which pgp can not. So when you have the first signature of something, you can proof that you are the original creator. This ofc implies that everybody would use this method

by razemio 5y ago
No its not. What you miss is that the creation of the signature is stored in the blockchain. So the creator can proof, that the signature existed before the other signatures. If you modify a video, your signature would have a timestamp AFTE

For me it depends on the service. Since this (should) store data and use a backend, I am very skeptical about having the option for a lifetime license. Most of these services shutdown sooner or later and your "lifetime license" is
