I dunno, we on the Enterprise side have always ponied up for the longer-lasting and far more expensive SLC based drives.

I think that certainly hurt it. Also, when Oracle bought Sun, they started restricting Solaris use to Sun hardware only. Previously, we were happily using Solaris 10_x86 + ZFS on SuperMicro boxes. We still have north of 7PB of ZFS-based s

Same here. Kick people out if they're violating your event's policy. This pouch thing is just weird and big brother-ish. Sorry people are downvoting you just because they disagree with your opinion!

Sometimes a rant is warranted. Sometimes it's time to get fired up and angry... The issue occurs if you're not bulletproof on your position and then get too caught up on 'winning the argument' rather than solving the pr

In addition, it's questionable that those labor laws do more to protect laborers or exist solely to preserve a government-backed monopoly... If someone doesn't want to drive for Uber, they can be a taxi driver instead...

Of all things to spend tax dollars on, public baths seems pretty far down the priority list.

The best thing that Uber has done (whatever its other flaws) is challenge the Taxi/Union/Government monopoly. More taxes and regulations are NOT good things.

This. That and HTML5 autoplay is super annoying and there doesn't seem to be a bulletproof way to stop it (at least the various plugins I've tried).

Red Hat is pretty good about back-porting features like this into the kernel and rest of the platform. It would surprise me if the issues you describe aren't on the roadmap to address. We have no issues running RHEL7 under VMware.
