It's going to be a very long way to make this legal. Regulations are very tight in the US and Europe. At least their job will be easier in Mexico.

Quit ? Never ever. Use your spare time for building your skills (make sure you learn what your future employer needs). Try to get a foot in the door by any means. What do your former student friends do for their living ? Could they help ? G

Kudos for bringing out a release after such a long time. Many projects don't make it this far.

Polite advice: You should seriously do something against your high blood pressure. This is not only far from ideal in the long term. This is a dangerous level. No matter if you feel good.

Is it a good idea to grandfather the maximum users ? Or will the existing accounts still be able to use 10 users ?

You guys should have tried to get back the logback author and his project back under the Apache umbrella instead of creating yet another loging implementation. Your "improvements" could have been labeled as logback 2.0. Yet another implemen

Same for the Retina versions. Bought a non-retina Macbook Pro a couple of weeks ago before they stop selling these. My last Macbook Pro lasted almost 7 years because I could upgrade from 1 to 2 GB. Without the upgrade option I expect the ha

You know this can be done on top when you have demand for this? I prefer a non-bloated protocol format over XML anytime. How often does the DTD not matter at all ? How often is the encoding fixed by convention ? ...

Wondering if it does support text input. If yes - then this will be heaven for someone "sniffing" passwords.

Don't waste time writing a business plan. Find out first if your idea can result in a value proposition which is accepted by the market. Build a mimimum viable product and start testing.

Agree. However this article makes me dead angry because of dozens of self-called overcoders who would love to (or do) believe this is how it should be in reality. ... Aaaargghh.

+1 on Postgres. But JEE ? I'd prefer Tomcat anytime over JEE (even if they became "simpler") in the past. Apache, Tomcat, mod-jk, JSON/REST and loads of freedom...

+1 on Alfred. It's such a freakin' time-saver. However I still miss the sexiness of Quicksilvers UI.

It's as boring as what HN users (I guess you are one of them as well) do against it. So do not hesitate and post something exciting.

That's what I tried to say. Regarding Ajax I just wanted to make clear that it's pointless to wait for the redirect... even if it's send back as response it would not cause anything like showing a different page afterwards.

Redirect after POST is not sufficient. Think about users clicking twice quickly (by accident or intention) before the browser receives the redirect. CSRF tokens could help if in place, however disabling the trigger until the redirect arrive

I mix them usually. Layer-oriented stuff like @Transactional and @RequestMapping incl. Path/HTTP Method etc. in the code, central declaration stuff like e.g. Marshallers, HandlerAdapters, global ExceptionHandlers in XML... :)

I prefer plain files instead of annotations. Just wish the non-readability of XML would go away with less bloated format (which other frameworks did with JSON).

Well. I know what you mean (XML hell). However to some degree doing config stuff in files and not in the code really makes sense... However Spring using JSON as configuration format would be awesome :)
