It complains in Arc on iOS, too. It‘s such a bad joke that browsers on iOS are still only a wrapper around WebKit…

Thank you for taking the time to explain! While the details seem to be well over my head, I think I‘ll stick to a worker then, as the specific thing I was talking about was taxonomy faceting of a pretty large dataset. Thank you again!

Just so I understand: Could this library be used for iterating large collections without blocking the main thread? Basically as a replacement for a worker with synchronous iteration?

It‘s basically just a rip off of Fischli & Weiss‘ „The Way Things Go“: https://youtu.be/-Lm48xH6PaY?si=PDbRrWbj4cuqVyB6

I don‘t know… around here (Germany), that‘s pretty common. No need to manage anything, no usage-based cost, … my favourite is https://all-inkl.com . OG no-bs hosting for boring tech.

Does this work on your average 10,-/month shared hosting server? If so, it might really be „for everyone“. Otherwise, we are stuck with matomo.

While all of this is very bad, I still dislike the post. „Since 2011“, for example. The plugin was sold two times in the last two years and ended up in the hands of WPEngine in the end. Since then, it has been a bumpy road with ACF, even be

4 years ago it was still great. I had one contact with WPE support since they bought the plugin last year or so and it was the most frustrating support interaction I ever had. It felt like I was writing with an AI that was prompted to drive

Exactly. ACF is free and open source. ACF Pro is not. Secure Custom Fields is based on the free version (ACF, without "Pro").

Oh my, this is actually a dream come true for me. I was pretty worried when Advanced Custom Fields was sold from it's original developer, Elliot Condon to Delicios Brains, and then after just about a year again to WP Engine. I had a su

That‘s a very popular over-simplification. A better one would be: Flexbox -> the children define the size Grid -> the parent is in control

Kevin Powell has a few great videos on YT comparing flexbox to grid. Grid can be very powerful if you want overlapping grid areas. Something that was previously only possible using absolute positioning. Also, auto-fit and auto-fill

You can tell custom elements what they are using the „is“ attribute or by extending the appropriate HTMLElement class if you define the custom element via JS.

Even though I like some of the insights this repos readme provides, I personally don‘t agree that CSR is the better approach. But I‘d like to read a few more opinions on the essay, so I posted it here.

Another reason I could imagine for fake job postings: the company looks more successful if it has a lot of open positions listed. Kind of like a free advertising.

So, you have found three points that might not apply. Does that make the point of the article invalid? I think it doesn‘t.
