Looks like more than 1 person went out of their way to skip the $13 slot. Are people really so afraid of 13 that they would pay more money for a worse spot just to avoid it? It jumps from $12 to $14 + $15 + $16 at the time of this comment.

Linux support should be a first class citizen IMO. I'm not too impressed by the editor. It's like a less mature and worse version of cloud9. The only neat thing was the inline tag-based css editing window but I wouldn't switch editors just

Math seems extremely important to me as a programmer, even for CRUD apps. Let's say you graduated HS and slept through your algebra classes. Now a few years later you're a programmer with pretty much no math skills other than what you've le

It's not just bluehost who advertises "OMG UNLIMITED EVERYTHING!" but then insta-cancel you as soon as you get a hint of traffic.

Don't forget too that while Bluehost does offer unlimited BW, it's not really unlimited. It's just good marketing. The moment you start to get any real traffic on your site they are going to shut you down without notice and ask you to eithe

I think as long as you're not being held back by whatever tool(s) you use, then it's fine. For example, I couldn't use an editor without a split pane view. I feel like not having that feature would be a serious productivity killer.

Prices are insane because monitor manufacturers are the scum of the earth. They are constantly getting in trouble for price fixing. It's ridiculous that in today's day and age we still have inferior monitors compared to the mid/late 90s. Th

You're linking to a thread that's a year and half old. I'm actually in the process of learning Go and if you pay attention to what the language developers want to do with the language you would have known that embedding Go into C or any oth

I don't think there really is an alternative because it doesn't matter. I don't look at ads. I 100% ignore the adwords results on Google or the featured ads. After spending years using the internet it's gotten to the point where I don't eve

The usability is awful. Too many graphics blend in together and the hot key choices are confusing. However it's ridiculously smooth and ran great on a ~5 year old machine. The controls felt excellent.

Yep. You can do the same thing with "enable plugins" which handles Flash and other plugin-related technologies. Opera doesn't need noscript because it's built in by default. Opera also made it extremely easy to toggle JS on/off if you want

I have been using this one for a long time. I got tired of seeing 30 second ads between every video and AdBlock stripped them out.

I mainly wanted to use it to develop web apps. Everything from the server up to the business logic. I picked Erlang or Scala/Akka because both of them seem to have reasonable support for web libs and are based around distributed concurrency

Would it be safe to say Scala with the Akka lib offers the same robustness and distributed scalability as Erlang? Erlang is using the actor model and so is Akka. I really want to learn one or the other as a goto functional language. I keep

Scratch is one of the visual tools he spoke about. I'm not sure how he can bash such a tool. When you're such a beginner that you don't know what a semi-colon is then scratch is the EXACT tool you want to teach with. It allows people to get
