Did you miss the part where they indicated that Messages was the most used app on iOS? Why would they abandon that experience for their customers and leave it up to a 3rd party to control?

> At this point, no one supports CS6. The fact that you can use it on some particular desktop platform is partially a consequence of their past support, and partially because the platform hasn't "shifted out from under" th

Your watch would be locked, being off your wrist. Your phone is locked because its got TouchID enabled and a passcode. Your laptop is locked as well. Getting in here requires you unlock something first, even if you have everything. The str

You'd be surprised to learn how many CATs and so on are rented not owned. United Rentals seems to do well renting equipment out.

I don't think Adobe supports CS6 anymore, but it sure looks like the desktop platform supports it even when the developer doesn't.

What's the alternative, users wait for some porting house to finally get around to releasing an update to be compatible? Oh, you don't have it in your contract to do that work, and the parent company isn't keen to pay you to

Agree that it doesn't seem like Apple is seriously interested in touching desktop gaming. On one hand, thats probably not a bad idea. Look at the scaling on mobile GPUs vs desktop GPUs and the revenues in both. They are so far behind

Hypervisor.framework would need to support it as well, not sure if it does. It just in 10.11.5 got better support for USB.

I think thats mostly an illusion, and the costs for that "last mile" of quality is huge. Think of it this way, if the software works for 99.9% of people, that's still 800k people that can experience undesired behavior. You he

As though its of no cost to Apple to make Metal available on every platform, or support other products on their platforms? Not every decision has to be filled with malice, sometimes it just makes sense.
