Killing education please. Dept of education does not run schools. Regarding loans, the best thing he could have done is abolish the program completely as it is the main reason the cost of education has gone up so much. He also made a great

How are gov subsidies taking away money from tens of millions. That is not how the gov budget works. Spacex contracts are by far the lowest cost to get cargo into orbit though. They save the gov money.

Very nice of them to have automatic time conversion to my local time when visiting the page. Something practically no one bothers to do. Alas it is in the middle of the night for us europeans.

I said private companies are another matter. The public ones are all funding it from cash flow not leverage and excessive debt which are the real hallmarks of an unsustainable bubble.

There are always companies like that. Does not mean the entire market is in a bubble.

If it is a bubble it is not in public markets. Private markets are another matter. In public markets it is an insane investment boom, fueled by the most profitable companies in history.

Then just say so and it is fine. We are a team of c++ experts and we are able to build a high quality program in C++ is a completely valid unassailable reason. Except for the most ardent rust fanatic.

The lasting system bit is very weak. Those old languages are still getting regular releases. Also Rust barely changes from one version to the next, entirely unlike C++! Rust interop to the libraries they list is not an issue. If you are goo

One is an algorithm, a purely technical solution. The other is the way code is structured in an application.

You are conflating OpenAI, xAI, Anthropic with the entire field of AI. They are spending billions of private money with the goal of actual general AI. Maybe they will reach it, maybe they wont. They are doing a moonshot and pushing the fiel

People are quite bearish and the stock market is making all time highs. This is actually a very good sign, because we are far from any euphoria. Always keep in mind the old saying: pesimists get to be right and optimists get to be rich.

Neither the US nor EU have enough of a functioning political system capable of such reforms. China dominance is inevitable baring a complete political overhaul of the west. This would take a civil war.
