I agree with what you're saying but WASM is just way more difficult to reverse engineer. Also if WASM becomes the standard, everyone will have binary blobs running in their browser at every web page by default. At least now its only fo

idk how I feel about web assembly. At least now we can see what client-side javascript is doing. If WASM becomes mainstream then all client side code is going to be essentially binary blobs.

I'm not sure how I feel about DoH. It seems like there a ton of unnecessary overhead added by placing the super lightweight DNS protocol on top of HTTP. My initial reaction is also that I might lose some control over my network and whi

It certainly might be worthwhile to remove the hoops! The original discussion was whether or not defi protocols enable new financial services. I argue they do not, but instead attempt to automate/decentralize those services.

I appreciate the effort you put into your response! I think the conversation has diverged quite a bit from my original point. I’m not even trying to argue that uniswap is not useful or an improvement. Instead I’m pointing out that when we c

Yes you can provide liquidity for eur-usd if you jump through all the hoops. A quick google search will show you that lots of savings accounts have positive yields. Rates have been low cause of fed action but banks have provided positive re

If you take away all the buzzwords you’ll notice that the core utility of uniswap is the “decentralization” of services which are offered by the traditional finance system. Yes it’s far easier for retail investors to play the role of the ma

Except you aren’t actually buying ownership of AAPL. You don’t get any voting power or dividends. You are buying a token that the creator pinky promises are worth/redeemable for x shares of AAPL. Those AAPL tokens are not insured by th

I am always excited to hear about disruption in search. I would absolutely pay for a private search engine provided the results are useful! But how can I be confident that neeva will not misuse my data? If I hook up my accounts to this serv

You’re missing the point. You made up that silly requirement not me. I keep saying “more than a wrapper for bing” I don’t understand how to phrase it more directly. I mean come on, there’s not any logic server side to pull from multiple sou

“Dumping” is kind of a provocative term, but when you cash out an investment that usually means you no longer expect the asset to continue appreciating. (Or at least that you expect a better return elsewhere) Nobody would cash out a positio

No, but I expect more than a wrapper for bing. The tank man incident shows that the image search results (at least for that specific query) were directly taken from a single source without modification.

Are you being serious? Everyone and their mother has mental health issues. Im not cool working for the government 4 months/year while rich assholes run off screaming “taxation is theft!” and using personal instability as a defense.
