El Salvador’s recent decision is a Hail Mary attempt at solving a tiny impoverished country’s crippling financial situation. They make their citizens use a government approved wallet where they process transactions off chain. This is the an

People in the crypto debate have very short memories. BTC is up like 1000% in the past 18 months and everyone is so quick to point at the current price declaring that "crypto is here to stay!" I mean christ in what world is 18 mon

These numbers should be taken with a grain of salt. Which kinds of people are participating in this IEEE study? I bet those people fit into different demographics and receive different compensation relative to the rest of tech.

It’s a pretty useful concept when you consider cryptography. The idea that enumeration is mathematically infeasible for some set is the basis for many cryptographic functions. But basically yeah it’s just an illustration of the difficulty.

Awesome project! Will absolutely try it out. Do you guys plan on providing similar client-side search tools? I’d love to be able to search my emails, notes, or third party services locally. Neeva is a search engine that provides this capabi

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate you taking the time to respond to comments like mine. I tried brave several years ago but it seems the ecosystem has developed quite a bit since then so I’ll give it another go.

Honestly I’m glad to see some disruption in the web advertising space. I’m not sure I understand Braves claim about “sharing revenue” with rewards users. Rewards users are getting paid in BAT no? I assume Brave is getting paid in USD. Do th

I am not sure I see a huge issue here. The FBI does similar things when investigating any other criminal enterprise. Sometimes it's difficult to weigh the short term benefit against a potentially larger longer term benefit.

Maybe I've come off the wrong way here. I do not believe that either party can claim the moral high ground for their decision on raising children. I DO however, get annoyed when I see people present themselves as some kind of martyr si

Thanks for the flowery language master Yoda. I am in no way advocating against adopting children. That is a wonderful thing to do for another human being. It has very little to do with climate change and surely you understood that the origi

If your marginal, insignificant impact on the climate is enough to prevent you from having kids, then you probably never really wanted them anyways. It scares me that people seriously suggest giving up children “for the greater good.” Raisi

It’s really not. A commercial service is not like a residential neighbor. Apple is asking that people store their shoe boxes in Apple’s “house” in exchange for money.
