I would say, other than a tiny minority of sociopaths, we're all good human beings to people we perceive as also being humans. There are plenty of people who are perfectly nice and decent who would think nothing of ripping off a gian

This is a great game! One request: there's a way to turn off the music but the sound effects keep playing. Could you make that button turn off all sound, not just the music? Or add another one to turn off the effects as well?

That's a lot harder than it seems, so, I have my doubts. It needs to not only run fast enough to bit-bang the signal but also simultaneously respond to bus requests from the 6502.

I'm really curious how they're doing video. That was the big roadblock I hit when making a Z80 computer a while ago (and what led me to FPGAs).

Yep. I've worked on great teams that did all those things. And not-so-great teams that didn't. The latter is really draining.

Both have problems. The best system is one where a passing review means "I feel comfortable maintaining this;" too often a passing review means "this is how I would have written it."

I would add code reviews to that. The advent of those was when it really stopped being fun for me, because it's really hard to keep that from turning into "your boss nitpicking every line you write."

On the other hand someone who would leave the door unlocked might also be someone who wouldn't close out the registers. Or maybe there was someone there and I didn't notice. I was sick; I was pretty out of it.

I think that may have happened to me accidentally once: a couple years ago I was sick and unable to sleep, so I went to a grocery store at about 1 AM to buy decongestants so I could maybe get some sleep. Most of the lights were off inside a

I have this problem with ML and recommendation systems in general. I hope this fad goes away soon and people go back to making simple, understandable, show-me-the-newest-stuff feeds.

Commercial aviation is one of the most regulated industries in America, so you'd expect that if deregulation were the cause something like this would happen somewhere else first...

For those wondering why this exists: the original C64 PSU has a (common) failure mode after a few decades, where it will output power in such a way that will destroy the C64 (and its irreplaceable MOS ICs). If you find an old Commodore and
