If your mental health demands it, sure. Save yourself first. Wear your own mask before helping others. But helping others is not optional. Not for a moral person anyway. Apparently no one nowadays is.

This is no different from Oracle. When tides change you can see how a company like Microsoft reacted (make embrace OSS) vs how Oracle reacts which is to double down on its expensive out of touch offering. It’s clear Oracle isnt fully irrele

Metas profit for 2022 was 23 billion. Assuming 3 billion users that’s like $8 per user per year of profit. Thats actually quite insane how much value they extract out of each of us.

It really is sad indeed. You die a hero (stop posting videos once you’ve exhausted your expertise) or live long enough to become a villain indeed.

What are the odds that NSO has like 20 other zero-days in their arsenal each set ready to deploy the day the current vulnerabilities are discovered and patched? Does Apple know or have a clue how bad this problem could be? Surely whatever m

If some hacker gets a clearly infectious Pegasus link they should make it spread through messages to everyone. Bricking everyone’s iPhone will probably make all the governments and Apple sit up and do some real damage to these actors.

I definitely miss the TechCrunch curated demo day summary posts. Not paying them a zillion dollars for that post of course. Anyone know any other places that gives picks of best YC startups in each demo day?

You have to split this question pre ChatGPT and post. Obviously on post we have no data yet.

MRIs use superconducting coils which can never be shutdown except in emergencies. There's a "quench" button which if you press the magnet turns off. But then I can't remember how much it is to turn back on but it's

Unless proven by leaked testimonials I would not fully trust GrapheneOS to be fully safe either. Maybe they have zero days as well and we just didn't discover them because of obscurity but NSO bought them and uses them. My dad used to

Apple doesn't want it's users to have an interior experience. It might be subtle so it makes sense that they don't want fully uninformed users from enabling it for no real reason. Currently it's not clear anyone who&#x27

Is this needed on top of lockdown mode?

by ramraj07 3y ago
If this was true Apple would have never released the lockdown mode feature. A good conspiracy theorist will drop a theory when there's clear proof they're not up to anything.

Sounds like it's not foolproof unless you enable lockdown mode on all devices.

The XRay feature is impressive and yet totally not worth whatever effort they’re putting. I’d rather they put this effort into tuning their UI Ux.
