I turn 30 in the summer. I feel immense regret for reasons I can’t really explain. I’ve been in the military (I felt like I belonged in the military more than any other place in life), I’ve had great jobs, made a lot of money, own a condo,

Theres no reason for you to learn React. You’d probably end up doing some cool things with it, but eventually it becomes exhausting the larger your thing becomes. State management in react will ruin any fun you might have.

I’m just going to add, because I want the same trust in the system but it’s f’d me up. In early summer 2020, my mom passed in hospice from cancer. 4mo before that she had a fighting chance, but faced intensive surgeries (ICU for sure based

Also interested in folks doing this for their enterprise market and any available analysis on how to approach that market. My perspective is Enterprise is hard to hit with SaaS. It's also hard to build an integrated (AD/Network&#x

You effectively defined the patent system. All patent applications are published (not necessarily granted). Prior to publishing is review by a patent examiner. Someone who usually has to be knowledgeable of the related subject matter. Many

Love it. Explainability would be a nice feature. I.e word definitions, origins, etc.

The other commenters said it for tourneys. I can’t stand tournaments. For cash games, I was only playing on the casino. For the 1/3 (1$/3$ blinds) the earnings rate seems absolutely abysmal and you have to account for rake. There

Similar story here. I’ve always played, mostly online, before Black Friday (pretty sure I was a minor when it happened) but played all the offshore sites through college. Professional software career took off and bounced out, finally ~3y ag

I feel like this argument isn’t stated enough. I’m not financially savvy and can’t determine if crypto is just re-inventing abstractions in which we’ll ultimately see the same societal patterns develop.

Fascinating cryptology work exists without cryptocurrencies, the reverse is not true.

going cloud native (AWS/GCP/Asure) & using their build tools makes things simple for things like container management and integrated development. GitHub because it’s better UX. It’s even quite simple to setup good automation a

this makes sense for the scenario- a mock server. Our backend teams rarely do anything with containers, but all apps deploy to K8s (platform team manages). We deploy SQLite… don’t remember any Cgo requirements, however we’re also deploying

I’ve honestly not touched docker in years, but all of my prod apps run in docker. So it’d be paradoxical for me to see I don’t need docker, but I really want to.

Agree, and most complexities will occur in enterprise environments when the os/hardware is locked down — which can make something like SQLite “hard” as would any cpu/disk-bound container. However that should be a platform teams jo

I don’t really like either. Both have traditionally been bad & related to on-prem legacy workloads. Building for SVN apps or teams new to git. It’s usually a mess.
