One time my phone was getting terrible reception in the restaurant, and couldn't download the way-too-big menu file. I ask the server for a paper menu, and apparently they'd went all-in on paper-free, so no menu for me. Instead, t

I just dealt with this the other day. One of my favorite restaurants kept the menu "books" but when you opened it up it just had a QR code. Tease... So I went to the counter and asked for a paper menu, which they provided. While m

Prompted by comments foreshadowing the end of search engines being useful, I wonder if we'll see a return to pre-search engine practices given that in the hypothetical we would come full loop from low signal to noise back to low signal

You might be asked to write about it, yes, though I don't recall one that insisted on it at the moment. For example, the University of Nevada, Reno's Physics PhD application gives the following as one of the writing prompts to con

I remember evaluating the Kaweco Al-sport when I was looking for a durable metal pen for EDC after my Metropolitan bit the dust. I think I didn't choose the Kaweco because the pocket clip for it had some issues with slipping off/n

I switched to a fountain pen because I heard that they required less effort to write with, and the amount of writing I was doing for my studies was starting to cause RSI issues in my hand. In that context, as a student, finding a budget-fri

Already tried this sampler set? https://www.gouletpens.com/products/notebook-sampler-package... I think everything I tried from that set so far worked well with fountain pens, though I did like some more than others. M

Assuming you mean the one labeled "voltage divider", the problem is that it doesn't actually divide voltage because the input and output are switched. The unloaded output voltage is the same as the input voltage.

Based on the title, I thought there was some unique quality of the soundtrack where there were no pauses or abrupt starts/stops, or that it was all one take. After reading the article, I'm guessing the title means that the soundtr
