You can still sell your house or car. The first potentially for more money. The restaurants and broadway shows are gone. I’m all for spending on experiences btw. But you have it backwards financially.

2 things can be true at the same time. Op is addressing the hype that there is some linear path of improvement here and chatgpt 8.5 will be AGI. To which people always seem to jump in with but it’s useful for me and makes me code faster. Wh

I think its a cool exploration between art and engineering, with the end effect looking lifelike and emergent. It reminds me of the game of life. But yeah the peanut gallery with 30k in hn karma probably have something snarky to say about i

I find these types of articles (and perhaps especially in the obsidian/2nd brain space) a bit funny. It reads almost like they are trying to convince themselves how great their "new" workflow is. Which ofc they will completel

That's a great point I'd never considered as a guitarist myself who uses both tabs and sheet music. I think it also explains why in my last 2 years of playing flamenco I never found tabs, the rhythm is almost as hard to play by ea

I think it’s funny you frame this as an information density problem. The vast majority of people consuming YouTube need moving pictures to keep their attention engaged and sadly enough a voice to offer the illusion of social contact.

A mentor sounds great, but part of growing up is - realising no one really has it all figured out, there are generally no "perfect" answers to how to tackle life - realising you don't need permission, a masters degree is nice

Meh, these snarky rebuttals basically add up to, 'Other businesses already exist, and you're small, so good luck.' It's true, but that could be used against any new idea or action in business

Well I mean technically almost anything "could" happen. But a guy promoting his book, and a lazy journalist at the Guardian mixing in some images from the zombie tv show "the last of us" does not an article make.

given your long experience with psychedelics and profession, I am curious. Do you feel a "hero's" dose is necessary, or do you see benefit in micro dosing psychedelics. Or any dose in between for that matter.
