We need people like this that self-teach "in the wild" to break down expectations and learn what's possible. This is how revolutionary leaps are made in a field; Eddie Van Halen with guitar is a classic example.

Anyone who's tried this, does a 2004 desktop on 2023 computers run fast? Does it run super fast like people would predict?

What's the hardware/OS stack you have for the autonomous part? Can you go wild and use unsupported software as long as it fits in the official hardware?

Could you give an example of this or point to an article that does so? I feel the pull between "framework I'd most want to use (svelte)" vs "framework that is more popular, more docs, more devs (vue)". If Vue is get

There was an article in Salon or Slate last year where they asked people what it would take to get them back in the office, and the universal answer was on-site free day care for their kids.

As an individual, especially a "hacker", I have no use for these things. But when I went to my state's Department of Driver Services (DMV) for my license renewal, there were a bunch of Chromeboxes running the check-in process

It gets better. With Elixir's Nx will take a subset of Elixir and compile it to GPU code so the expensive math ops can be farmed out to other machines and run on their GPUs in parallel.

Have you used Elixir? I ask because the Elixir books mention that setting up GenServers is easier in Elixir, with behaviours and callbacks you don't have to write code for all the functions in a GenServer if you're not using them,

That page says the HP-42S was "widely regarded as one of the most desired calculators ever made". Was it more "desired" than the HP-41C, with all the accessories that you could get for it?
