I think the comment memes usually fall short of the 42 cutoff. Some copypasta probably needs more sophisticated filtering.

In the time it takes to drive to one, wait and drive back, you've already spent the same time as washing yourself at home.

ICBM boost phase only lasts about four minutes. Detection takes a minute or two. LEO orbit time is as low as 90 minutes, so you need at least 45 satellites orbiting the desired location to reach a single missile in time. This doesn't i

Americans revolt at reusable shopping bags which are leaps better than disposable ones. They just have to be stored and carried to the store. Resuable bags don't need the rotten ketchup cleaned out before the next use. You don't n

In America about 2/3 of your neighbors would not put in that sort of recycling effort. About 1/3 of your neighbors believe there are no benefits, only downsides to recycling. Maybe 5% just throw pizza boxes and dirty diapers into

If plastic bag bans annoy customers, wait until you ask people to wash and refill their single-use aluminum cans. Reusable bags are actually a pleasure to carry items and a minor inconvenience to schlep to the store.

If they can get reliably useful AI through voice into maps/navigation, it will be a substantial improvement to the driving experience. It's really frustrating to manage destinations and waypoints while driving. I just checked the

So if there is any wind at all, your luxury SUV is just going to get blown around wherever the wind blows. I've personally never been to a lake with no wind. Maybe it's useful foolishly ford a washed washed out road and get swept

Mean teens and the bribing teen are separate anecdotes. Most teens are unhappy with a stranger rifling through their phone, especially somebody installing spyware. Those are the mean teens.

Yes, the big electronics box was a target. No thanks, I'll help myself to a black trash bag and drag it around like a crazy person.

I feel the same way and yet once I turned around at a city art fair to be right in front of somebody recognizable. It struck me as surprising in the same way as bumping into a friend. I involuntarily greeted them by name. The best response

Raw material cost of a car is under 50 percent. An ICE drivetrain isn't really a huge part of that. Interiors, paint, suspension, electronics, HVAC are all still costs in an EV. So even if motors, batteries, motor controllers, cooling

The F150 I grew up with only lasted to 130k miles. To make that feat, it needed an engine rebuild, transmission replacement, air conditioner repair, alignments, power steering repair, numerous other minor repairs. The dash had cracks from t

It probably doesn't help much against a roach infestation, but fully automatic espresso machines make a good cup and keep the convenience. Ours was $1500 and has already paid for itself buying whole beans instead of k-cups.

The last couple of times I upgraded, bloat in maps navigation was reason enough to upgrade to a faster phone. I don't want a sluggish UI while driving. Hoping Google doesn't cram much more ads or junk into the maps app or Waze.
