The main factor is that the same people are 15 years older now. You can ask people who are 50+ now whether they felt "a sense of joy and amazement" when iPhone was introduced.

Wow, the worst example of violation of privacy is...(wait for it) local push notification storage being plaintext. We already bought it, no need to sell more Apple product to us!

And MS-DOS was a massive success. Even 'massive' is such an understatement and English probably needs to invent a new word for that level of world-changing business. So yeah, perhaps it isn't fooling the author, but it doesn&

Yeah. It's just some random self-help piece. But slightly worse, as at least self-help books would provide some examples.

That's how bloat happens. The more people you add to the team, the more likely there would be one grump who thought that the thing they care at the moment deserved to be added to the system prompt.

The comment you linked to doesn't know what they are talking. (Edit: given the context, they know what they're talking about, but you don't) A game having random mechanisms has absolutely nothing to do with whether it's

College exam tests C++ syntax and people frame it as a good thing. Interesting. It sounds almost indefensible for me. If it were Scheme perhaps it would be okay, but C++ and Java...

Or, you know, it's far easier to input natural language with voice-to-text than coding with voice-to-text, so even if they can write long comments on HN, coding is still a problem? Nah, impossible. They must be making up their carpal

Is there a "mind-blowing fact" about category theory? Like the first time I've heard that one can prove there is no analytical solution for a polynomial equation with a degree > 5 with group theory , it was mind-blowing.

All of them. It's simply impossible to sell tokens by usage at a loss now. You'll be arbitraged to death in a few days. It only makes sense to subsidize cost if you're selling a subscription.

I'm pretty pro-AI, but I find it very amusing that every single time an open source project enacts no-AI policy, someone will chime in and explain how it will be outcompeted by the yes-AI version, while in reality it never happens.
