The key for AES is held in the four debug registers. On a 32-bit machine you get 4x32-bit for AES-128, or on a 64-bit machine 4x64-bit up to AES-256. The ptrace(2) system call is patched so these registers are not exposed to user space. And

They probably need to automate the "upgrade to latest" box, current version would be OpenSSL 1.0.2f 28 Jan 2016. Anyway, I am not convinced the `openssl speed` benchmark output conveys anything to the people addressed by the site.

Recently I found out that Comodo TrustLogo always displays the site report for www.* even when used on a different subdomain secured by another CA. It is quite useless to include such a site seal even if users wanted to verify it. https:&#

I would say you cannot deduce much from that micro-benchmark. On x86, loops depend on the alignment of the labels and branch instructions due to the branch prediction logic. You can actually make some loops faster by inserting nops inside t

In some cases the List-Archive header contains a HTTP link to the mail in the archive. But often enough it is just a link to the archive in general, so not a general solution. You could leverage the Gmane archive, which allows linking to ma

The automatic postings by listbot should contain the original source URL. Some posts are not helpful if there is no way to get to the project's website. Also the formatting of the automatic excerpt is sometimes broken, so I would prefe

No, Hypervisor.framework will not help with this use case. It is a replacement for the kernel extensions that are currently provided by VMWare/Parallels/VirtualBox to expose the Intel VT-x feature of the CPU. You would need a way

Thinking of terms used in communication, the naming of the 'zfsu tx' command gives me the reversed impression. As it actually receives data from a remote host, it should be 'zfsu rx'. Maybe it would even be more intuitiv

On *BSD and OS X the keyboard command Ctrl-T sends a SIGINFO to all processes connected to the tty. Many tools such as cp, mv and even dd display their progress when they receive a SIGINFO. This signal does not exist on Linux.
