On top of that: isn't the solution for USAF to stop jamming a widely civilian used protocol? Forcing others to keep using old tools and not realy on newer and better tools just so they can jam it at will seems counterintuitive

Did they not cause this themselves when making 'home' 'professional' 'enterprise' and so on versions of each of their major versions?

I also wonder what happens if I now buy a new Windows 10 machine and put Windows XP on it. Will it be faster? If that is the case, it can be expected that putting Windows 10 on a Vista or XP machine will be much slower. The people want more

That is an article from 2013. Would anything have changed since, say, 20th of january 2017?

But if you wanted to use Java 8, which has been available since 2014, on Android you need to target at least Android 7.0, skipping out on 4.4-6 which is a huge market. On iOS however, you can use Swift on many more devices, even the latest

I was thinking the exact same thing. Rust being a more memory-safe language does not mean it is a secure one. Still needs proper input validation. EDIT: I opened the documentation and found https://api.rocket.rs/rocket/

Except telcos in the USA only do the bare minimum. Anything above that will have a huge pricetag or just not be available in many areas. So people with internet at current minimum will see their speeds lowered.
