Interesting. Anyone knows what's the benefit of TL-Verilog compared to a next gen HDL like nmigen? Robert Baruch used it extensively for his own RISC-V CPU implementation. Its channel is well worth watching for those interested in CPU

Docker on M1 can run x86_64 containers when aarch64 isn't available in the registry. I use it everyday.

Very helpful. Unfortunately Nix doesn't support aarch64 yet, only x86_64... It seems to be coming though: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/95903

I've built an 8088 "PC" replica with modern components on a backplane architecture (try searching "Xi 8088"). It's an interesting machine to build and play with, and you can definitely run Linux on it with ELKS

You can even use it interactively like ipython and get rid of the printf, as it automatically evaluates expressions. [cling]$ int i=21 (int) 21 [cling]$ i*2 (int) 42

CERN actually does that with CLING for interactive HEP data science. https://root.cern/cling/

> The annotations look pretty complex. It’s a whole other type language grafted on to C, and at least to me, even with the explanation in the introduction, very difficult to get an intuition of. I salute the idea of fixing C shortcomings
