Because end users don’t have any ability to avoid sites that use Cloudflare, and it’s free advertising every time a developer sees it. Sure, you might hate Cloudflare on everyone else’s sites, but it’s nice to have it on your side!

> I think every time I log in to GitLab I get a Cloudflare check. This is almost certainly GitLab’s doing (though you can ultimately blame irresponsible AI scrapers). Site owners can control how often you see CF captchas.

Light brown is called tan. Dark and light oranges exist too and they’re not exactly the same as brown.

What you’re describing would be a completely unusable terminal. You’d lose things as basic as the backspace key. And what’s wrong with Terminal.app indicating when it’s suppressing output?

That would be valid if setting up a scheduled AI task actually took any technical knowledge, but it doesn’t. ChatGPT lets you schedule tasks natively in the UI, and I assume others do as well. (And OpenClaw is hardly nontechnical!)

#1 is just Siri/Google Assistant with extra steps (and expense). #2 could be a scheduled task (cron job or something higher level) that calls a plain old AI provider API. IIRC most providers can even do those natively now.

It's most of his name. Long before his full name became common knowledge, you could already Google "Scott Alexander psychiatrist" and find him almost instantly.

Well, Claude does boast an absolutely cursed (and very buggy) React-based TUI renderer that I think the others lack! What if someone steals it and builds their own buggy TUI app?
