Thanks for jumping in with that. Everything in After the Deadline uses context. Even the suggestions spit out by "dumb rules" are run against a contextual filter to remove suggestions that don't make sense. For an example of what I mean, tr

Thanks. You just helped me find and fix a bug in my jQuery extension. I generate a link useSuggest("'" + suggestion + "'") which broke with the single quote. :)

Hi Ryan, What's the exact text you posted? I tried this in FF 3.5.7 on Windows XP Pro and everything worked as expected. -- R

I believe the Chrome issue is a conflict with Chrome's popup blocker or same-source policy. I created a page with nothing but a textarea and put it on the same host where the request with your text goes. It works there in Chrome. I then put

This is a good post. I found it when I ported After the Deadline to Intense Debate and wrote a post about it. Here: http://blog.afterthedeadline.com/2009/10/09/how-to-write-a-g...

I've used LinkedIn Questions before and was impressed with the numbers of answers I received. So in that sense, the OP has a point--even if it's not elaborated on heavily. Yesterday I received a message from a local businessman who sent me

I'm a big fan of this essay. I wrote a blog post about how After the Deadline (a proofreading software service) relates to the rules George Orwell talks about. http://blog.afterthedeadline.com/2009/12/16/george-orwell-an...

I recommend taking a look at http://www.wordnik.com . It's a startup launched by an experienced dictionary editor (sorry, Erin, I don't know what else to refer to the profession as:)) and they have an API as well.

I partially credit keeping going on my startup with having told many of my coworkers about it before I left. Well, more accurately I say: "If I hadn't run my big mouth, telling everyone I was doing a startup, and don't want a job..." Yeah.
