Loved it. It’s exactly how I imagined it. People didn’t have high expectations because they thought this was going to be a gaming device. I posted quite a few comments in the past months telling people vr glasses like this had so much poten

It’s clearly inspired by Twitter. Which bothers me a lot. Who would follow ANYTHING that Twitter does at the moment? Twitter currently has the worst leadership in its history. Every decision made by twitter in the past months have lowered t

I might be wrong, but iirc Transformers were invented/designed by google, so these research “papers” are being used in some way. I think it’s a VERY good thing that they’re sharing this knowledge to the people instead of being stored i

If the code works just fine, why remove it? For small algorithms it should be good enough.

I’ve tried very hard to like him because like it or not, ChatGPT has revolutionized the AI industry but he’s so hypocritical I just can’t stand him.

Exactly. This is how AI should be used. Maybe Chatgpt hallucinates a lot, but that doesn’t mean it’s useless. It can still provide a lot of good value, you just have to filter out the crap, just like you’d do with any other tool. Especially

It’s very clear at this point that we need real browser APIs instead of implementations (real interfaces that can be implemented and run in any language using web assembly).

This is VERY cool. I’m very excited to see a project like this. Is it me or there has been a lack of wow-factor projects lately like when jquery was introduced. Or templating engines like handlebars. Or when angular and react took over. Bro

But you’re the minority. Firefox is already free and has what, like 3% of the market share? If it became a paid browser it’d lose like 98% of its users (if we consider an industry standard conversion rate of about 2%).

Interesting that you talk about standards because I think the alt browsers are not judged to the same standards as chrome. Brave injected affiliate links. Microsoft edge injected ads on random third party sites, now it’s Mozilla. You won’t

To me, it’s not that it’s leaked. It’s that it didn’t obey what it was told. It was explicitly told not to give the rules as “they are confidential”. One could say that it actually followed the rules if we consider the fact that it was forb

Exactly what I thought a few months ago. The DOM and the HTTP api (or pretty much all browser APIs for that matter) should be interfaces that can be implemented in WASM code. I have no idea why this hasn’t been proposed let alone implemente

I don’t like this suggestion. I mean, it’s a good, solid suggestion. But I don’t like everyone using the same thing. A market dominated by a single entity means less competition which means less innovation. If we didn’t have competition we’
