> On Disney and Netflix and Amazon, it's about 4-6GB. On HBO MAX it's about 7-9GB. Netflix 4K subscription will get you high bitrates, even for 1080p. I'm surprised MAX is that high; it used to be the worst.

Yeah, you really gotta love it to do it. Otherwise, it's like buying, hauling, setting up, and running your own sound and lighting system, then DJing from start to finish, and nobody noticing.

First, the famous quote: "Why did I quit VJing? I was the first to arrive at the event and the last to leave. I brought and set up all my own gear, worked the entire time, and I got paid less than the coat check girl." - Hyperde

> For a contrast, think of The Three Body Problem. It's set on an equally epic scale - but so much more happens! I disagree. TBP is not nearly as epic. TBP could easily exist within the Culture series, but not the other way around.

> Putting aside personal convenience is fundamental to loving God and neighbor at times. No, it's fundamental to character. It's not exclusive to religion. That's just part of the myth.

Or... just hear me out... we could hire experts in various fields, give them general principles to follow, let them work out the details, give them the authority to enforce it, and maintain the right to step in if they overreach. But yeah,

Gary Burghoff played Radar in the film and TV series. Timothy Brown was in both, but played two different characters.

From what I recall, Pandora limited themselves to radio (license) rules, which is less appealing as interactive. Interactive requires specific licensing deals, which will include minimum annual fees in the millions. Further, if you try to l

I find the idea of a fixed-size universe to be myopic. I personally align with the Quilted Multiverse Theory (albeit more fractal, than quilt): • Matter in the universe only has a finite number of ways it can rearrange itself • If the unive

> Same with Netflix and it's bit starved encodes. Bitrates are tied to the subscription tier. If you do the 4K plan, it's visibly noticeable that 1080p video bitrates are higher. They don't have much 4K content, but the 10

That's not entirely accurate. The easy way to make a crazy amount of money is to buy a well-credited company, sell / mortgage anything of value, ramp up user fees and debt over a short period (3-5 years), and then cast aside the h

The Mini wouldn't make anything like what's in the demo. It's good for multi-camera-angle, one-take videos. But it would also require cameras, lights, mics, etc. And you'd want at least a Mini ISO so you can fine-tune ev

If it were really that simple, we'd all be leasing AT&T cell phones. The only reason Apple can sell iPhones and run an app store is because AT&T got broken up 40 years ago for similar issues.

Life tip: you can give up on projects that do work, too. The only mistakes are planning a long-term commitment prematurely, and framing it as "giving up" instead of "moving on." Have fun, try things.
