Coinbase makes money on every cash to crypto transaction. The price is irrelevant with that revenue. They also generate revenue from trading fees, which does though, but I seem to recall they make the most from purchases.

Having worked on a crpyto exchange myself in the past, it's almost never a technical issue; the traffic isn't bloated with media resources or anything, and those requests were just thrown in a backend queue until they were pushed

I believe this is why the U.S. has such a large gang culture in ubran areas. Everybody wants to feel like they belong to something, and if they don't get that through family, then they turn to their local street for that.
