I get the sense you're not referring to the French fashion brand, what is Hermes?

Sydney, Australia - the most I can get is 500mbps from our government owned nbn. I have a 1Gb plan, but in reality it's half that.

The cool thing about superpowers is it's built using evals rather than just vibes.

I agree. Our greatest nation-threats are not the countries we're told they are.

wow - I was looking at moving from Tesla to Skoda for our next EV. Last month it was interceptor missiles for Israel and now this.

Maybe governments should be in charge of their own critical infra; I'm happy with as much non-government controlled software as possible.

Brings back memories if when b-list was on the front page of HN all the time. Another approach to preserve the fully functional api is decorators.

Yes agree, I imagine that's why NVIDIA and OpenAI jumped at them. I wouldn't touch that vibe-coded mess with a ten foot pole.

I agree, and think AMD and Nvidia philosophy diverged way before Cuda. I can't count how many times over the last 30 years I've had AMD drivers crash the OS (Linux and Windows). Nvidia have been mostly rock solid. The thing is, th

Nice. I've been thinking of doing something similar in our local jurisdiction (Australia). Are you able to share (or point me toward) any high-level details: (key hardware, hosting stack, high-level economics, key challenges)? I'd

Surprises me to. I thought A16Z were a top-tier VC wanting to create long-term value. I didn't see black-hat social media bot farms in their focus areas. It might be a bit facetious, but if I had 10m invested with them I'd be aski

This is especially concerning as TP-Link (a Cisco brand) are woeful at maintaining the software on their products. They should be compelled to maintain a security programme or at very least open source their firmware at EOL. https:/&#

It's times like these when most people recognise that parents in all corners of the world worry about their kids just the same. War should never break out. But it does. We had international rules to prevent war, but they're gone.

If it wasn't for Israel's dogged expansionism, Hezballah would never have been created, Hamas would never have been created and Palestine would still be a liberal democracy.

Nice. I wonder what the costs of reparations would be if the ceasefire were to end the war?

Geography and missiles? Iran have everything to lose and have been put in a position where they literally have to fight for their existence. Militarily Iran is a giant and Saudi Arabia is a minnow.

I still use GLM 4.7 for well defined coding tasks. I never got 5.0 to work satisfactorily, it felt like a hosting problem (z.ai) where it would work for a while then, for whatever reason, it couldn't respond to the context any more - b

More than a conspiracy, they actually did attack the school - twice - about 30 minute apart (double tap). They would have had live video feed from drones, and images sent from the first tomahawk missile for target confirmation. Yhey knew ex

In other words, if you're outside of the US your VPN traffic is fair game for interception and storage. If you're inside the US and use a VPN, they'll assume you're from outside of the US: Intercep and store.
