People like their anonymity on Reddit. Every action reddit takes to make it less anonymous looks really bad. That kind of thing scares people and reddit already has some PR problems.

I'm a little disappointed. My S22+ charging port is broken and the part on ifixit is 60$. IIRC the Samsung repair shop quoted me the fix to be 80$. Doesn't really seem like I'm saving enough to justify my labour and potential

You can't have your cake and eat it too. There are plenty of other lower risk companies that have way lower chances of layoffs, but they don't pay as well. Working at a company that tasks risks and has a high rate of return also h

I was job hunting until a few weeks ago. From my experience this is absolutely not true for junior dev positions. Do your research. It took a while to find a position even with big tech experience.

I think both sentiments can be valid. If OSM really needs those contributions they need to take responsibility for updating the license. But we as a community should encourage companies to give back to the OSS projects they benefit from.
