I never said that the issues are unique to the Flatpak. I said if they are , then you shouldn't blame Zoom. The reason why I commented in the first place is because you explicitly mentioned the Flatpak of the Zoom client which stood o

How did you come to such a drastic opinion about on-demand traffic lights? What makes them "dehumanizing shit" in your opinion? In other words: Why would you regularly hinder main traffic to allow a left turn if no one is there to

The Flatpak wrapper for Zoom is not made or endorsed by Zoom, Inc. as indicated in its description [1]. I am definitely not a fan of Zoom either and had my own issues with the Linux client, but if the problems you describe are unique to the

For me, I need to have it the other way around. Regular withdrawals of similar amounts on my bank statement tell me nothing about how I spent my money a month from now. When paying with card, I leave a paper trail for myself to review later

True, that's why they recommend installing Poetry either via their installer or using pipx, as you did. pipx and pip's externally-managed-environment should help mitigate a lot of the broken environment issues. I use them too.

I regularly hear that the tooling of Python is bad, but we've had Poetry for a while now and it just works. Unfortunately, I'm not experienced in Rust so I cannot really compare it to cargo. However, Poetry does everything I would

It is satire. They want you to do SemVer (or CalVer, etc.) properly. There are arguments against SemVer, but I don't see how this one of them.

It's satire. If you're unsure, have a look at their about page [1]. They are criticising the idea of staying on a 0.x release for years even though your project is long used in production by now. [1] https://0ver.org&#x

No, the problem also applies to Tor. If a malicious actor controls large parts of the network, there is a high probability that the attacker controls your entire circuit or at least your entry and exit node. In the latter case, you can do t

I'm pretty sure that Kriesel said in his C3 talk that at least one company called and told him that they scan and dispose of the originals. You can't do anything at this point. You're probably right – they rather just want to

You're comparing apples to oranges. Flask is software of which all instances run independent of each other while Cloudflare is SaaS where all its sites depend on the same service. If Cloudflare goes down, so does a significant portion
