Off-topic, but that Vollkron font definitely styles 1s very weirdly. I thought it said I.I.I.I instead of 1.1.1.1 until I copied the text and pasted it somewhere else.

One advantage that wasn't mentioned is the ability to send a tab between devices. I'm looking at something on my desktop, have to go somewhere, so I just send the tabs to my phone and continue consuming. If I forget to do so, I ca

Mixcloud actually had that. Then they've switched over to only displaying the current track. Then they've made some shitty version of music recognition similar to Shazam, which simply does not work for this use case (every single

Reviving the old 3310 got Nokia back into every store in Europe. It really doesn't matter whether those phones are any good or not, because they're not a priority, they're just a gimmick. They're just a gimmick that'

I understand that moving to Angular is not trivial, however this is old even for AngularJS. 1.7.x is in a long term support, while 1.6.x stopped being supported since July. The version they're running has at least three vulnerabilities

The first thing I would try in that situation is to input the first 16 characters of that randomly generated password. I've stumbled upon login fields that just dismissed everything after the 16th character a few times.

That's source available, not open source. You can view the source, but you can't contribute to it, create forks, etc. Source available is one of the prerequisites for software to be considered open source, but not the only one.

Out of topic, out of curiosity: Is one person behind this profile? Do multiple people share the login info? During my years of HN usage, I don't remember ever seeing another username enforcing the rules, only yours.

By the browser you're comparing Firefox to, I'm assuming you're not using a Mac, while the parent is. Every single performance complaint I've seen post Quantum release has been from a Mac user.

Not that I give any of these two any chance of succeeding, but the fediverse seems to me like it has much higher chances of short term success than Web 3.0. Small (and a pretty ignorant) comparison: Fediverse: Fair amount of clients, some u
