It would be unavoidable. The controller writes to areas that haven't been written first, and not 'deleted' areas. "90%" capacity will be reached no matter how diligently the user prunes their files.

If you think an SSD can be "resilient to that issue" you don't understand the problem. From the Anandtech article you mention: "Either the Toshiba controller is using over 12% of the total NAND capacity as spare area, or there's only 30GB

I didn't intend to imply app removal is difficult on OSX. Merely a difference in philosophy; I can't be satisfied that any one default configuration will meet all my needs. That's all. Hell I might spend hours themeing the visuals, that do

Maybe I'm just a picky hacker, but if I had a machine with OSX I'd spend hours customizing it and removing crap.

Oh I agree, but for that you need everyone to be similarly educated, which I'd argue requires participation on the part of the citizen. Which might be impossible. I think it's enough to provide all the basic needs so no one needs to spend

Honestly almost any disparity would be acceptable if all citizens had basic needs met, like healthcare and housing.

> If you don't want your car to be stolen then don't leave it in the street. A car is a locked(presumably) metal box, it would be more apt to say: "If you don't want your cds stolen, don't leave them in the middle of the street"

There is no evidence to back up your bogus, overreaching claim. You make no distinction between use and abuse.

I'll go out on a limb and say it depends on how you use it. Ingested cleanly the drug itself is not risky in any way, sugar does more damage. I've known senior, lifetime heavy users with no ill effects of daily smoking.

You have a good point, but still, the difference between learning to "program" and making a working product can be decades. This hits home for me, struggling to self-learn desktop programming, pushing back expected prototype dates further a

Of course, I just want to see the taboo dissolve. It's all about user control. Now that people have the ability to publish their sex lives, some will.

At the risk of appearing too knowledgeable about this subject... The cultural landscape of recorded sex is changing. The availability of sexual media is breaking old taboos about recording sex acts and amateur pornography is scaling up in

Might make a decent car computer, with some add-ons. It's kind of crazy you can't buy a discreet touch screen this size for less than twice the price.

I tend to put laptops in this category. Like any good nerd I spent countless hours trying to figure a way to remove and use the screen on one of the broken laptops piled up in my closet. There's no good reason for that level of waste.
